Nick Cassavetes leaves ‘Gotti’ film; Lindsay Lohan also out

Two news snippets were revealed Monday and Wednesday concerning Gotti: Three Generations, Fiore Films’ biopic of mobster John Gotti.

On Monday, news came that director Nick Cassavetes had dropped out of the film due to scheduling conflicts. Two days later, it was reported that Lindsay Lohan is out of contention to star.

Lohan was in talks to play John Gotti’s daughter, Victoria Gotti, whom she sat and posed for photos with at last week’s press conference, but producer Marc Fiore said, “She is no longer being considered. The talks have stopped. We are going to meet with other people.”

TMZ reports that “money was an issue … the various demands of her management team just got out of control”. Fiore, according to TMZ, said, “I will only ride a merry-go-round with my kids.”

Gotti: Three Generations will star John Travolta and Joe Pesci as John Gotti, Snr. and his consigliere Angelo Ruggiero. Shooting will begin in New York this autumn.
