Al Pacino joins ‘Gotti: Three Generations’

A lot has happened to Fiore Films’ Gotti: Three Generations since Front Row Reviews last reported on it.

Now, news comes via THR that Al Pacino has joined its cast. He will play Neil Dellacroce, who was underboss of the Gambino crime family and mentor to John Gotti Snr., who is to be played in the film by John Travolta.

Barry Levinson is now set to direct in place of Nick Cassavetes, and James Toback has been brought on board to revise Leo Rossi’s original script.

Pacino joins Joe Pesci, who will play Gotti’s consigliere Angelo Ruggerio, as well as Lindsay Lohan, who will play Gotti’s daughter-in-law Kim. John Travolta’s real-life wife Kelly Preston and daughter Ella Bleu Travolta are set to play his on-screen wife and daughter respectively.

On paper, the project now reteams director Levinson with Pacino from Emmy-winning HBO telefilm You Don’t Know Jack; Levinson also worked with Toback on Bugsy.
