This March will see a new event on the London Film Calendar with the first ever London Film Day. Presented by the good old Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, this years event will feature many events all across London on Sunday the 21st March. According to the BFI website and March guide the BFI will be hosting a family film workshop and a public world premiere. The film chosen to be premiered is Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang and it will also be premiering simultaneously at other yet to be announced locations across London. There will also be many other film activities and workshops going on in the capital on the day. Although most of these have yet to be announced (watch out for more updates here as they are announced) booking for the BFI Premiere opens to members on Tuesday the 2nd February and public booking the following week on Tuesday the 9th February. The Nanny McPhee workshop includes the chance for children to learn about modelling and animation as well as competitions and it starts at 12:00 and the public premiere is at 14:00.
