WHATS IT ABOUT?
When a hungry vampire (Price), sucks on acclaimed author R. Chetwynd-Hayes (John Carradine but also a real chap), well lets just say it ends in a mutual friendship and a sharing of three monstrous stories of the creatures most foul and their offspring most on the prowl. With guest appearances and frightfully unexpected tales, this is a classic of the anthology kind!
WHY SHOULD WE WATCH IT FOR HALLOWEEN?
Well put it simply, if you do not like one story, another comes along in a few minutes to replace it. Price and Carradine were old hands at the horror canon and give us all a delightful series of wits and jests to seamlessly string these stories together, coupled to all of this are a series of song numbers that are from leading bands of the time and are very good (the song THE STRIPPER is a personal fave!)
WHAT SHOULD WE LOOK OUT FOR?
The disc is as bare as Dracula’s coffin at night and as such, the actual movie is your only friend. It is good enough to hold up on a re watch a couple of times and I dare you not to enjoy the spot the silliest monster game that is a Kaye family fave!
