The classic story of a wooden puppet wanting to become a living, breathing boy is set to become a feature film yet again. Having been made famous by the 1940 Disney animation, Pinocchio will get the live-action treatment following the success of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.
Bryan Fuller, who created television show Pushing Daisies and wrote for Heroes, is apparently in line to pen the script, whilst Milk producer Dan Jinks is also attached to the project.
Speaking to Variety, Jinks believes they’ve “found a fresh approach that’s going to be very entertaining”. The film is to be produced by Warner Bros, with no expected release date as of yet.
