Film and TV actress Lindsay Lohan has been accused of assaulting a member of staff whilst undergoing a spell at a rehab clinic in Los Angeles. The 24 year old allegedly turned agressive towards a member of staff when asked to take a breathalyser test, it emerged yesterday.
Refusing the test, Lohan allegedly pushed the staff rep and assaulted her, leading the staff member to accuse Lohan of “battery.” In a public statement, the Rehab Centre stated:
“One of our employees violated strict confidentiality guidelines by publicly identifying patients in a media interview. That employee has been terminated by the Betty Ford Centre.”
Lohan was admitted to the Betty Ford Centre after testing positive for Cocaine in October this year, whilst still being on probation for drink and drug offences dating back to 2007.
Attended by the likes of David Hasselhoff and Liza Minnelli, the Betty Ford Centre is California’s most exclusive Rehab clinic, costing $26,000 per month for treatment. Following this latest incident from Lohan, authority figures have warned her that this will be her last chance before avoiding a jail term.
