Today news has broke that James Cameron will be mentoring new Spider-man director Marc Webbs reboot of the Franchise which is now to be made in 3D using Camerons 3D technology which he used on Avatar. Camerons involvement may be due to the fact that many years ago he was one of the frontrunners for the original Spiderman films and wrote the treatment but took on other projects himself. Although Cameron will presumably be working away himself on an Avatar sequel Webb will be pleased to have his help in making the reboot and using the complex 3D technology and I wouldn’t be surprised if Cameron becomes a Spidey producer as well.
