Fassbender To Star In Assassin’s Creed Adaptation

Variety magazine has reported that X-Men: First Class and Prometheus star Michael Fassbender will lead and produce an adaptation of UbiSoft’s successful computer game Assassin’s Creed.

Although computer game adaptations are rarely successful, with the perennially excellent Fassbender on board this one becomes a lot more interesting. The game is one of the most lucrative of recent years and has spawned to sequels thus far, meaning success on the big screen has the franchise stamp all over it.

With Fassbender a busy man for the next two years and no director attached expect to wait until 2014 to see this one but it may be worth the wait. The first videogame adaptation of any merit? Well, we are due one.
