Great news! The Barbican have announced a one off show this October from sine wave surfer Aphex Twin aka Richard D. James. It will the UK Premiere of his latest project ‘Remote Orchestra’.
The performance comes with assistance from the 28-piece Heritage Orchestra and their 12-strong choir, who will be conducted by Aphex Twin, via remote control!
The concert will also feature James’ take on Steve Reich’s ‘Pendulum Music’, entitled Interactive Tuned Feedback Pendulum Array.
He first used the technique at the European Culture Congress in Wroclaw, Poland, last year. See below for a video from that performance.
