The wait is over! This years onedotzero festival, the 15th edition, launched yesterday.
Running until Sunday 27th November, yesterdays launch gave a great preview of whats ahead over the next 4 days.
The first screening to take place was this years installment of wow + flutter – one of the staples of the festival’s scheduling since the beginning. wow + flutter’s ethos it to promote new techniques of animation, motion graphics and all types of experimental graphics. This is the place to see some truly innovative work.
A full review of that will be coming soon, but for now here are a few clips from fantastic showcase.
Jimmy Yuan: Shift
Australia 2011
Emil Goodman: Henry Waltz
Hungary 2011
Neal Coghlan: Tasty Visuals / Kraak + Smaak

Yesterday also featured a Preview Screening – a sort of extended trailer featuring the highlights for the festival as a whole.
Afterwards there was a preview launch party which was great. A really nice way to kicks things off – turning the BFI into a genuine hub of creativity and innovation.
From what was seen yesterday, this year promises to be one of the best ever, so do not miss out.
There are plenty more screening, talks, workshops and installations taking place over the next 4 days, if you’re into this type of thing be sure to check the main website for the full listings.
