Jason Statham is back, and thank god its not Transporter 3 (The second one was dire). The movie tells the true story of a london gang which robbed a Baker Street bank in 1971, stealing personal possessions comprising of money, jewellery and diamonds worth millions of pounds.
Among the possessions were some very secret posessions, some which were linked to a royal scandal, and others linking to the very corrupt police force.
Jason and the gang “do the job” well, operating a well executed robbery which then flows to tell the misfortunes of the gang and those that were wrapped up in the most damaging heist of the 70’s. With a couple of very attractive leading ladies, the Bank Job does well to keep me entertained, so much so that I watched the film a second time a week later.
It also helps that its based on a true story and the plot in the film (not sure how accurately linked it is) takes an interesting twist at the end which determines whether Jason and the gang survive or not.
