GIA (1998)
Telling the story of Gia Carangi, a fiery, passionate model from the 70’s, Angelina conducts one of her all time best performances proving her worth in the movies. Gia is a strong headed, attractive young girl thats scouted for her non sassy, non textbook look. She is thrown into the world of modelling and before long finds herself being tanlged up in a web of passion, drug abuse, and crazed fast paced living. The parties, heroin and photoshoots prove too much for her, and before long Gia is spiralling out of control. Choosing to watch this film purely because Angelina Jolie starred in it, I was extremely suprised and amazed at how well Jolie plays the part of Gia. Gone in 60 Seconds (2000)
With Nicholas Cage and Vinnie Jones, Gone in 60 seconds is about a gang of ex car thieves that have to work one last heist to save the brother of their old leader, Memphis Raines. When Memphis decides to quit the car scene, his younger brother Kip decides to pick up the slack, with all going well until a new hot shot comes into town and Kip cant make the order. In rolls big brother Memphis (Cage) who has to reasemble his old crew to do the biggest boost of his career. Amongst his crew is his old flame that he left behind, Sway, played by Angelina Jolie. Mr and Mrs Smith (2005)
Starring alongside her now partner Brad Pitt, Angelina plays a secret agent thats married to a secret agent from another organisation. Leading extremely separate lives, the couple keep their real identities from each other, until their organisations find out what they dont know and try to have them both killed. Bringing about an interesting twist to the film, the couple make some decisions which will determine whether they live, and if so whether they live together or not. Although she had lost a lot of weight for this film, Angelina stars as Fox, a trained killer performing precise murders for a secret organisation. Angelinas job is to recruit and train Wesley Gibson, the son of an ex member of the team. When Wesley meets Fox, he thinks he has anxiety problems. With her help, he realises he doesnt have anxiety problems, but instead his heart beats faster than the average person, allowing him to do extraordinary things.
