Secret Cinema is a monthly London film screening with a twist – the film is a surprise, not revealed until the day! The locations are also a surprise and there’s often added extras like special guests.
Secret Cinema’s last event saw Shepherds Bush flooded with 2500 romantics on a cold February weekend, as crowds gathered to find the Pavillion Cinema transformed into Berlin’s Underground Postdamer-Platz for Wim Wenders art house classic, Wings Of Desire. The event saw angels and trapeze artists take flight over the audience, whilst fire breathers, knife throwers and jugglers from the Alakan Circus wowed the audience.
Today they have announced their next event in June, which will run for 6 days due to popular demand – from 15th to 20th June. As usual there’s a mysterious clue of sorts to the film with the announcement: “Secret Cinema is looking for adventurers, star-gazers, explorers and those that may be stranded due to eruptions to join them on its next journey.”
This first clue is very vague but we’re guessing its some sort of sci-fi film – what do you reckon?
