The hugely successful franchise maybe on its way to grace our screens again. One half of the legendary bad boys duo, Martin Lawrence has fueled talks that a sequel is in the works when he posted an image and caption on Twitter about the possibility of a follow up movie. On the 18 July, the 11th anniversary of the film’s release Lawrence tweeted an image featuring co star Will Smith and the 49 year old has called for himself and Smith to once again partner up as Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey.
“11 years ago today, Bad Boys II was released in theaters. Feelin’ it’s about time for number 3… what do you think Will Smith?”
Earlier this month, American director Jerry Bruckheimer revealed he is working on a plot for the movie and hopes there will be a third installment of the action packed box office franchise.
”Well, we’re working on an outline right now. Hopefully we’ll get a screenplay in the next three months. And that will become a movie I hope.”
The Bad Boys series has grossed £242,733,497 million worldwide and has earned legendary status for its comedy filled hard hitting action.
