Leftfield are most of the most important and influential electronic acts ever to grace the scene. It’s now been some 15 years since any new material was heard.
In a recent statement, Neil Barnes announced the news they have been recording some works.
The upcoming Playground Festival at Brixton Academy will play host a DJ set from them on the 7th June. This will be the first time the new material will be played out.
Speaking in a recent interview about a possible third album, Neil stated: “A lot of people were bugging us to make a new album, so I thought, ‘Sod it, yeah alright’. So that’s what I’ve been doing the last two years. I’ll probably play some new stuff in my set when I play Brixton”.
Keep an eye out on the Playground site for the full interview soon.
