Indian media reported Tuesday that James Bond could be travelling to India, stating that Sam Mendes, the director of the 23rd installment of the Bond franchise, made a visit to Mumbai last month with production designer Terry Bamber.
Quoting an anonymous source, the Mid-Day newspaper claimed that the “movie will be shot in Mumbai and Goa during the monsoon season on a month-long schedule”.
Production company EON Productions told The Hollywood Reporter that “nothing has been confirmed yet”.
It was reported last month that after much financial trouble, the as-yet-untitled “Bond 23” is firmly back on track, funded by MGM in collaboration with Sony. It is scheduled for a November 2012 release.
