Amitabh Bachchan, a living legend in the Bollywood industry is taking up “vogging”, or Vocal Blogging to get messages to his fans. His movie hits range from Sholay to Paa over his 40 year career. He has hundreds of blogs and gets more than 400 comments per day from his die hard fans.
Bachchan Bol, which literally translates to “Bachchan Speaks”, was launched in Mumbai on Tuesday. It will be accessed on Indian mobile phones with fans being able to post video comments.
Amitabh Bachchan being net savvy applauds modern technology and believes in keeping up with the times. He also says that he will take any sort of criticism, abuse, and disagreements on Bachchan Bol, as he doesn’t expect it and it’s not fair. He says he never moderates, which is very respectful towards his fans, criticism is always hard to take.
Bachchan has vowed to “vog” atleast twice a week and would also continue with this usual blogging.
Seeing a legend starting the trend of “vogging” I’m sure other bollywood actors will follow, I wonder how it takes for Shah Rukh Khan (an avid user of twitter) to start.
