Wall Street 2 Teaser Trailer

Today Fox released a teaser trailer for Oliver Stones upcoming sequel to his classic 1987 film Wall Street which starred Michael Douglas as Gordon Gekko – a greedy and corrupt corporate stockbroker idolized by young broker Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen). This is Oliver Stones first ever sequel and Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps will focus on the 2008 stock market crash, retaining Michael Douglas from the original film. After being released from prison after his dirty dealings he is still up to his old tricks, this time using his daughters fiancé Jacob (Shia LaBeouf), rather than Sheen.

The teaser trailer released today is quite short with not much plot indication but plenty of Douglas and LaBeouf action.  It shows Gekko’s release from prison (including him being handed  back his now totally outdated brick of a mobile phone) but not much else. What leaves more of an impression however is the Fox sign which is blinged up, changed to silver chrome beside the financial towerblocks, alongside some heavy dramatic electric guitar chords –  a trick which is later repeated with the film tile instead of the usual Fox words.

If you missed the original Wall Street film we’ve had a look and its only £3.99 on Play so make sure you get hold of it before the sequel is released on 21 April. Teaser Trailer Below –
