As teen comedys go, Im not too ecstatic about American Pie or the whole Not another teen movie business, but that said, Van Wilder is a classic. I remember when I first bought this movie. I was at uni, wondering into HMV looking for a bunch of VIDEOS (yeah it was when they were still sold) that I could buy on the cheap to keep me entertained. Id heard of Van Wilder but hadnt really entertained it as being a serious contender for my time. Little did I know that it would end up being one of my all time greatest movies.

From go the film introduces us to its main character, Van Wilder, a college jockstrap that has been doing the university rounds for almost a decade, with no view to leave. Van is a clever, good looking college guy that has his life thrown out of balance when his father refuses to pay his tuition fees any longer. The film then tells the story of how Van uses his quite unique set of skills to generate money to pay his tuition fees, and ultimately; stay in coolage college. The film has some fantastic moments and I honestly have to say that this film is probably the best teen flick Ive ever seen. Id reccomend you buy this on HD and make space on the shelf as this is one to keep and watch. A perfect film to watch with your boyfriend / girflfriend, Van Wilder gets a thumbs up from me.
