You can rely on Dreamworks to bring us some of the best CGI in the world. Monsters Vs Aliens is such a good film, clean family fun. There are some great jokes and slapstick action. One of the better CGI efforts of recent years. A group of monsters are released from a government controlled compound as a last resort to help mankind fight against an evil alien robot. As is commonplace with these types of films, there is also a computer game version.

Drag Me To Hell (2009)

Starring: Alison Lohman, Lorna Raver, David Paymer

The director of the Spiderman films and the Evil Dead Trilogy, Sam Raimi returns to his horror based roots. Drag Me To Hell is the chilling tale of a young girl searching for a promotion in a bank who refuses credit to an old lady. The lady puts an old gypsy curse on her. Its a good solid film. Good performances and a great scene with a talking goat.

True Blood : Season One

The series is based on The Southern Vampire Mysteries series of novels by Charlaine Harris. True Blood tells the story of the co-existence of vampires and humans in Bon Temps, a fictional small Louisiana town.

Season Five takes another turn from the previous series and now we are introduced to time travel on the island. The twists and turns keep coming… can’t wait for season six!
