New DVD releases – 5th October 2009

New DVD releases this week.

American Virgin

Very much similiar to “Roadtrip”, American Virgin tells the story of a freshman collegel girl who gets drunk one night and starts parading around topless. What she doesnt know at the time is that the entire episode has been recorded and the next day is on its way to be viewed by the abstinence group that funded her education. Believing in strict celibacy, Jenna knows that if the group sees this not only is her reputation down the toilet, but so is her education.

Jenna and her friends embark on a roadtrip to get the film back and save the day. A typical teen raunch, Id reccomend you leave this one alone and instead pick up a copy of RoadTrip if you havent seen it. Roadtrip is the original teen movie of this nature and the comedy is much better. More Info

Sex And Death 101

Rod Blank is about to get married to Fiona, and all is fine until he recieves an annonymous email listing 101 women on it. Looking into it, he realises that Fiona is 29th on the list, and the 28 before her are all the women he has slept with up till then. Rod realises that the list contains another 70 women on it that he will sleep with in his time. At the thought of this Rod tries to destroy the list and all that it will bring him, however, he realises that this is not as easy as it sounds.

A strange film, it is entertaining and slightly confusing at the same time. Id reccomend this for the guys out there, not so much the girls. I think the girlies would just tire of this type of film. More Info

Pig Hunt

This film is awesome. When a group of guys go up to a farm for a weekend of pig hunting, they find out that the farm and its livestock have a strange story to tell. Learning about the legend of the ‘Ripper’, the guys suddenly realise that their guys weekend of killing could turn into a guys weekend of being killed! Known as the ‘Ripper’, the guys learn the truth about the three thousand pound black boar and its killing sprees.

Delving deeper into the forests, the chase turns full circle on them as they try to figure out how they are going to stay one step ahead of the madness they are encountering. With some crazy characters and a first class story line, this is a film not to be missed. More Info

Jack Said

Starring Danny Dyer and Simon Phillips, Jack Said is another great development for the portrayal of british gangsters in London. Jack (Dyer) is an undercover cop playing both sides of the fence. His original job was to bring down the Guv’nor, a notorious gangster running crime all over the city. Jacks problem is that hes getting in so deep on the wrong side he becomes conflicted, not knowing which side he really sits on and is loyal too.

Getting involved with one of the gang members sisters, Jack doesnt know what will keep this volatile situation from blowing up. Jack Said is a fast paced, action crime thriller, standing true to the standards set by early predocessors like Lock Stock and Snatch. Add this to your collection for a night full of adrenaline.
