Football Hooliganism Films

There are so many films that have been produced portraying the violent and high profile history that british football has had over the years. This history has been bloody, damaging and victorious for many football gangs up and down the country.

A couple to note are Millwall and West Ham United, who recently met on the pitch, with their fans destroying each other off the pitch. The british film industry has made a lot of money out of this history with hit releases like Green Street and The Football Factory.

One of my personal favorites that is based around Football Hooliganism is Rise of the Footsoldier, which tells the story of Carlton Leach and his gang that ran Essex in the late 80’s and early 90’s.

Of the many that have been produced, I think the following are the key ones to note and take a look at:

  • Green Street
  • The Football Factory
  • The Firm
  • I.D
  • CASS

Most of these are now relatively cheap becuase they are british movies that dont become hits state side. Check them out for a good evening of brutally fuelled violence.
