Many of you will be familiar with the Final Destination films. I doubt the original creators ever expected it to be so successful but it has and thats why the fourth installment is out in cinemas now.
In this third version, a group of kids are at a theme park and one of them has a premonition that the ride they are about to get on, the biggest rollercoaster in the park is going to de-rail and kill them all. So, she freaks out and encourages most of the group to get off.
Obviously she is correct and a horrific crash happens. As with the previous films it doesn’t end there. By cheating death they only postpone it and a series of freak accidents start occuring and killing the people who escaped the ride.
Its a very entertaining film, probably not the best of the series but its all part of the saga. Its your typical teen slasher sort of film without there being a real slasher as such – just a mysterious force of death.
As usual there are some really gruesome deaths but you know its going to be like that. This film isn’t based on what’s plausible but what is entertaining. Although its no Cannes winner it does its job well enough.
