The Walt Disney Company announced on the 31st August that it is completing a purchase of Marvel Entertainment Inc for somewhere in the region of $4 billion dollars.

An official Press release went out on Monday which provides details of the transaction taking place, highlighting Disneys focus on delivering quality entertainment to millions around the world.

Key characters within the Marvel stable include recent hits such as Iron Man, The X-Men (one of which is Wolverine), Spiderman and The Hulk. With such a strong set of characters and Disneys ambitions to grow their video content and character set the deal is a great move for the movie and entertainment industry.

I wonder how long it will be before Bugs Bunny gets a kick up the arse from the Hulk….
