With Hollywood budgets regularly over 100 million pounds, it is almost unbelievable that some Brits have come up with an idea and made the whole film for £45! But its true, Colin is a clever lit piece of work. Its a zombie film with a difference. The film is shot from the point of view (POV) of Colin, the vampire. Especially at this time of year the horror market is saturated with slasher and splatter films – at least someone has attempted to do something off the wall.
Directed and written by Marc Price and receiving pretty good reviews, i suspect Colin will become a great success and will forever hold cult status. The film begins with Colin having being bitten and returning home to his flat. Only to find that his housemate has gone the way of the bite. We then follow Colin in POV mode around suburbia.
Who knows if it was really made for £45 – i doubt it. It sounds like a good way to publicise your film and prepare the audience for the low production qualities. I’m all in favour of experimentation. Hats off to all involved who made the film!
