Wanting to find a film that all the family can watch, I came across Big Fish, one of Tim Burtons creations. A son learns that his father (that he hasnt spoken to much) is in hospital and dying. Knowing that he never really spent much time with his father, he goes to his bedside to learn more about him and spend some time. The father begins to tell extraordinary tales about his life, revolving around various experiences that the son does not believe and regards as purely fantasy. As the tales become bolder and bolder, the son becomes even more relentless, not being able to understand why his father cannot focus on the real world.
Here unwinds a joyous tale of giants, talking animals and all sorts which let you lose yourself in the creativity that Tim has mastered. Aptly named after one of the fathers main stories, Big Fish is a film that I was very happy to watch with my dad and sisters and Id reccomend if your looking to put something on for the children or generally for the whole family.
