Starring: Kevin Spacey, Kate Bosworth, Jim Sturgess
If your into intelectual flicks which turn geeky brain power into entertainment (A beautiful mind comes to me although that was seriously dull) then you’ll love this take on a group of college students who took vegas for thousands (yup, apparently its a true story). Kevin Spacey is a math tutor by the name of Micky Rosa. Mickys background to us is irrelevant, all we need to know is that he knows how to make money through counting cards and is looking for another member to join his super brainy team of college students. Introducing Ben Campbell (Sturgess) to the team, Rosa leads the group into the dessert where only the wildest dreams can come true and “you can be anyone you want to be”.
This is a great story which references the classic Rain Man which is amusing. As these types of films go, Id say its a good film to catch up and watch although it definately wasnt the hit of the year for a good reason. It can be slightly mediocre at times. If it was a tossup between this and something like Oceans 11, Oceans 11 would win every time.
