By now we’re all used to the fact that Hollywood relies these days on sequels, prequels and remakes rather than original ideas. But rumours of a sequel to last years successful comic book adaptation of Alan Moores Watchmen have been dismissed by comic book fans as unlikely and a ‘Say no to Wathcmen 2’ facebook group even exists

The rumours started this week when Paul Levitz, President and Publisher of DC Comics stepped down and according to comic book world  gossips this may lead to DC being able to make spin off comic sequels as DC senior vice president Dan DiDio has always been very vocal about wanting to cash in on the first films success and resultant revival of book sales. Spin off comics could then be used as material for a sequel or a prequel movie – a Watchmen 2.  So what do you reckon? Would you go watch the sequel or did you hate the original?
