After a run of beautifully spooky screenings at Hyde Park’s most secret venue, The LookOut, the Nomad is proud to announce its Christmas schedule of magical screenings and special events at Belgrave Square, The Hippodrome Casino, The Hoxton Hotel and The LookOut, Hyde Park.

First up is The Rocky Horror Picture Show taking place at Hippodrome Casino this Sunday 9th November with live cabaret from Reuben Kaye, so if you missed out on your Halloween fix, there’s still a chance to sport your fishnets and garish make-up for this all-time classic.

On Saturday 6th December, the Nomad returns to Belgrave Square, one of this summer’s popular new haunts, for a special Magical Christmas event. Located in the heart of Belgravia, the grand Belgrave Square Garden will become a wonderful Christmas kingdom for all the family to enjoy. With an array of fun and exciting family activities including sleigh rides, Christmas crafts, a fairy wish garden, face painting, a petting zoo, carol singing, winter refreshments and the chance to meet Father Christmas, with Pixar short animations and every child’s top film choice, Disney’s Frozen on the big screen, adding to the wintry atmosphere, plus a chance to meet one of the characters from Frozen… this not-to-be-missed Christmas extravaganza will be one the kids will cherish. [Please note, this is an outdoor event, and Frozen will be screened outdoors as a festive backdrop to the festivities, rather than a seated, indoor, heated event.]

On Friday 12th and Saturday 13th December, The LookOut, Hyde Park will once again be transformed into an enchanting fairy-like Christmas cabin for four doses of Christmassy movie magic with Tim Burton’s gothic fairy tale, Edward Scissorhands on the Friday followed by Gremlins, the darkly humorous story of mayhem and destruction at Christmas time. The Saturday brings another Tim Burton great, The Nightmare Before Christmas, followed by one of the best-loved Christmas films ever made: It’s A Wonderful Life.

So step into Hyde Park and be drawn into a yuletide haven like no other. The LookOut, nestled among winter trees in the heart of Hyde Park, will be transformed into a magical venue for these festive film screenings. Settle into the warm, tree house-inspired cocoon of The LookOut (with under floor heating!) to enjoy these Christmas treats, along with outdoor fire pits, delicious hot wintry food and a glass of mulled wine (or spiced apple) on arrival – all included in the price of the ticket.

On Sunday 14th December its back to the lavish cabaret style seating at The Hippodrome Casino for Bad Santa, Terry Zwigoff’s screwball black comedy starring Billy Bob Thornton as Willie Stokes – the sleaziest Santa the screen has ever seen. When he’s not knocking back quarts of cheap glog, he’s knocking off department stores with his pint-sized partner in crime – not to mention his attitude to the kids who come to sit on his knee. Waiter service will be available throughout and ticket includes a glass of mulled wine on arrival. Pre-ordered food also available.

And finally, a Christmas season of cinema would not be complete without Elf so that is exactly how the Nomad will round up its Christmas feast on Sunday 21st December as the Slackers Lounge screenings continue at The Hoxton Hotel.

Watch out for more screenings to be announced as the Nomad continues its adventures into 2015.
