I first saw a promo for Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti while watching a Bollywood movie at the local cinemas. The movie really is intriging and I can’t wait for it to be out. There are lots of actors in the movie, which is always great for viewing pleasure and gets the audience curious. Some of the personalities in the movie may reflect real-life individuals, for example when one see’s Katrina Kaif in the promo’s one will directly think of Sonia Gandhi.
Prakash Jha comment, “Yes, there are so many actors in the film and play a huge role in Raajneeti. I know for sure that people are intrigued to see the kind of story told here. To satisfy this curiosity, we did come up with a promo that would give a quick glimpse of each of the characters. We wanted to tell that what these characters are a and how they are related to politics.”
He carries on saying, “The promo doesn’t have any active dialogues per se but we have tried to explain their character through a single line voiceover for each of them”.
Prakash Jha has already had successes with Ajay Devgan, and now they both join forces again for Raajneethi, which also stars, Arjun Rampal, Nasseruddin Shah, Nana Patekar, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, and Manoj Bajpai.
When watching promo’s it seemed as if Ranbir Kapoors character is the one to look out for. He seems like the outside man that has a plan in his head to somewhat revolt against the government. His look is very critical. This is pure speculation on my part of course.
We will have to wait and see when Raajneeti hits cinemas on 28th May, 2010.
