Shak Rukh Khan’s (SRK) latest release about a muslim that travels to america for love and virtue has had excellent responses from all over the world despite political issues he has suffered in India. My Name is Khan has become the highest grossing bollywood film in the UK, taking over 936,000 at the box office and coming in at number 6 in the box office charts.
The film has had a huge pr push in the U.K, with ads across buses and billboards nationwide, a complete contrast to the controversy between SRK and the Shiv Sena party in Mumbai.
Appearing on the Jonathon Ross show, SRK stated that he did not mean to offend anyone and that his comments were taken out of context. As it stands, many bollywood stars are tweeting everyday with their views on the situation and in particularly the Shiv Sena party and their views.
