The London International Animation Festival (LIAF) returns for the 8th time and this year to a new venue – the Barbican – with an exciting, intriguing, inspiring, sometimes controversial, thoroughly comprehensive collection of animation.

This is the UK’s largest festival of its kind, screening the best, new animation from every corner of the world with 250 films, most of them British premieres and including the Technique Focus (cutout animation), a New York Who’s Who, a look at contemporary Polish animation and SixPackFilm Tributes, Royal College of Art 25th anniversary event, special guests, Q&A’s and seminars.

Currently about half way through, it runs until Sunday 4th September, so there’s still time to check out some of this years amazing line-up.
