John Hughes to have Unique Oscar Tribute

According to Deadline at this years Oscar ceremony film director John Hughes who died last August is to have a unique tribute rather than the usual memorial video. Apparently this ia because  certain Academy members and the nights hosts Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin all worked closely with Hughes. The special sepereate tribute will include Hughes cast and crew members but thats all that has been revealed so far.

John Hughes died last year very suddenly after a heart attack in New York and his death came as a great shock to Hollywood. He is most famous for making brat pack movies of the 1980s including Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Breakfast Club  but was also a screenwriter writing successful movies like Pretty in Pink and Home Alone.

So do you think Hughes deserves this special one off tribute of his own or is it unfair on all the other film heroes who have died over the last year to single him out specifically? Let us know in the comments below
