A string of Hollywood’s hottest leading ladies and musicians are joining forces to direct a new Lifetime TV movie called ‘Project Five’, to raise breast cancer awareness.
Jennifer Aniston, who’s rumoured to be taking on the role as executive producer, is set to collaborate with Demi Moore, Alicia Keys and Patty Jenkins, to direct five short stories exploring how breast cancer affects women’s lives’.
Aniston is also enlisting the help of her ‘Friends’ creator Marta Kauffman for producing tips, to guide her during her second transition behind the camera. Aniston first tried her hand at directing back in 2006 for the movie Room 10. While her directorial debut passed fairly unnoticeably, she’s hoping that this film will have more of an impact.
The 42-year-old Marley & Me star said: “Our hope with Project Five is to entertain, inform and inspire dialogue, research and prevention. Otherwise, our goals are small. We want these films to move people and empower those affected by breast cancer to stand tall through this challenge, which impacts all of our lives, no matter who we are.”
A fifth director is yet to be announced for Project Five.
