Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa Takes Theaters By Storm

Hold on to your hats folks, The insane Jackass crew are back with their latest film installment, Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, and their fourth overall. Jackass creator and director Jeff Tramaine will return to his role with the help of Spike Jonze in the spin off film that features an 86-year-old Johnny Knoxville in a loose plot, wreaking havoc whilst he is assigned the task of taking his grandson on a road trip to temporarily live with his father, while his mother is in prison.

Having said in an interview back in March 2012, Knoxville claimed they were working on the possibility of a sequel and would see how things would pan out:

“We’re keeping our mind open” and “I’ve got 50–60 ideas on top of all the stuff we didn’t get to shoot.

In September later on in the year, Bam Margera went on The Howard Stern Show and when asked about another movie replied:

“There’s going to be a whole movie about Knoxville’s grandpa character.”

The film was released on Friday, exactly 11 years since the first Jackass episode went on air on MTV. The film boasted 32 million dollars at the weekend of its release, dislodging Warner Bros movie “Gravity” and taking its spot as number one at the film Box Office. It is also the first film Paramount Pictures have released since World War Z in June.

The film also marks the first film without the involvement of Ryan Dunn, who was killed in a car crash on June 20th 2011. Jackass 4 is scheduled to drop sometime in 2015.
