Harrison Ford is set to star in the upcoming sci-fi film Cowboys and Aliens, as confirmed by the director Jon Favreau. Speculation surrounding Ford’s involvement in the project has persisted for a while now.
Relenting to the barrage of gossiping fans, Favreau posted this on his Twitter account: “Please stop asking if Harrison Ford is in Cowboys & Aliens. Okay? He is. Please don’t tell anybody.”
Ford will be joined by Daniel Craig and Olivia Wilde in the film, which is based on the graphic novel of the same name. Set in Arizona circa the 1800’s, aliens come face to face with cowboys (hence the inspired title) when they attempt to enslave humanity. Will these extraterrestrial invaders ever learn? If you’re not disarmingly weird like E.T or a talkative pug with a New York twang, then you’re not sticking around.
It may all sound a bit goofy, but hopefully it will mean an upturn in Ford’s career. Let’s not forget this man is both Han Solo AND Indiana Jones, so he’s a more than capable sci-fi action man.
