In a city like Weimar every stone has a history. Coming up, in just a couple of weeks, is the launch of a new Audio Visual Festival – Genius, Loci Weimar – where celebrated international media artists will converge to tell that story – on site.
Genius Loci Weimar premieres as part of the “Weimarer Sommer” with three days of public screenings. From 10th – 12th August, media artists will illuminate a building on Weimars “Platz der Demokratie” after the break of dusk.
A projection show of approximately 15 Minutes will evoke the history and the spirit of the scene and transforms static architecture into a storyteller, spanning the narration form the past to the present and finally into the future. The show will be repeated every half hour, there will also be one other performance every night, that features local audiovisual talent in a live performance on the facade of the building.
