Fed up of paying extortionate prices for cinema tickets in a recession? Well we’ve got a solution for you – did you know that there are lots of companies that organise free preview screenings of films around the UK to help promote them and create word of mouth buzz for them. It’s completely free and usually you get to see the film quite a while before it’s released so you can make all your friends jealous
Heres how it works –
Sign up to sites such as www.seefilmfirst.com www.tellten.co.uk and www.momentumscreenings.co.uk
Occasionally they’ll e-mail you a code when a new film is released they think you’ll be interested in, put that code into their site, choose your nearest cinema and then you can print off your e-ticket.
Simply take the e-ticket with you to the cinema, and make sure you arrive early as they do overbook tickets so that the screenings are full and there you go – free cinema preview tickets!
Tickets are allocated on a first come first served basis so do go very quickly, and codes often appear in magazines, newspapers and websites as well as being emailed to you so there are a number of sites that collect these codes that are worth signing up for – check out the moneysaving forums on MSE, HUKD and FMUK for more info.
Frontrow is also pleased to announce the launch of a new preview site First4Movies which in a similar manner will be having codes for screenings but with a twist their site also features film content and forums as users who contribute to the site are rewarded with moviepoints, which can then be redeemed for prizes and special offers. First4moives will launch fully in January so register now!
