With cinema prices always on the rise we couldn’t believe our eyes when we heard about the prices being offered by The Regal Theatre’s Cinema in Stowmarket. This independent cinema is reopening after an arson attack and the management has decided to offer tickets at only 5p – yes thats 5p not a typo – for its opening weekend of film screenings.

After getting speical  permission from distribution companies manager David Marsh announced that all tickets would be 5p over the opening days of March 5, 6 and 7  – so tickets will cost the same as when the Regal first opened in 1936! Local residents queued up to get their hands on these bargain tickets on Monday and demand is so high they are limiting tickets to 10 for customer but there are still some available – check out the Regal’s website here
