Most of us have had a vehicle breakdown when it’s least expected and more often than not it could have been avoided if we’d done some regular maintenance in advance. How many of us are left kicking ourselves about it whilst we are waiting on the hard shoulder for the recovery team to rescue us?
In just the last 2 years, Highways England have published stats that they were called out to over 170,000 breakdowns, with just under half caused by basic issues that could have been solved in advance such as running out of petrol, poor tyre maintenance and power loss.

A great way to keep on top of regular maintenance is to have a chat with the team at one of your local Halfords Autocentres. Take a look through the list in the infographic above and see if any of these breakdowns remind of you of any issues you’ve previously had.
