I am extremely suprised to read that Universal Entertainment are going to be releasing a sequel to Hancock. The film was a substandard superhero drag involving Smith and Charlize Theron as two immortals who battle with their feelings for each other around a normal bunch of people. Given the film had the enthusiasm of trevor mcdonald, im suprised that Universal Studios are going to try torturing us again. I suppose it will have something to do with the film netting over $600 million dollars and everyone flocking to their local cinemas to see it.
What does this mean for “big willie”? Well I dont think Will has done much lately that can be commended. Im not sure if he just doesnt get the decent films or he’s happy starring in below average films with no decent plot, but thinking of his last few releases I dont think I would bother getting of of bed if I were him.
Hancock
I am Legend
The Pursuit of Happiness
All of these films are a bore in my opinion from “Big Willie”. The films that I think have done Will Smith credit are:
Bad Boys
Independance Day
Enemy of the State
Not to forget his days as the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. That programme got me through my teenage years after school (bbc2 – 6pm every day)
