Bollywood sex-symbol Mallika Sherawat has landed a lead role in the movie “Love, Barack”, directed by Doug McHenry. She will be starring opposite Laz Alonso, who played Tsu’tey in the record-breaking movie Avatar.

The movie is a political romantic comedy in the build up days of the 2008 US presidential elections. Mallika Sherawat is playing the female lead Aretha Gupta, a local Obama campaigner. In this romantic rollercoaster, Aretha, a die hard Democrat falls in love with a Republican (Alonso) campaigning for McCain.

Mallika Sherawat says, “Laz Alonso is a talented and exciting actor. I’m very lucky to be working with him”.

The story is inspired through the whole “Obama baby-boom” period, when a lot of campaign romances were being documented around the Obama Presidential win. Experts say this resulted in a “Baby-boom”!

This actually looks like a very interesting storyline. Something good for the romancers as we all like to watch and hear taboo scenario’s.
