Santa Pod Raceway is the home of adrenaline-fuelled European Drag Racing and host to the prestigious, televised FIA European Drag Racing Championships. The European Finals are one of the most exciting events of the year, as the fastest drag cars and bikes from across the Continent battle it out to be the best.
Over the weekend there are many different classes for the cars and bikes, with some of the entrants able to hit an incredible 300mph in well under 5 seconds!! If this wasn’t impressive enough, brand new for this year on the track in-between races will be the insanely quick Maksar diesel racing truck. Despite its size, this amazing heavyweight vehicle can pound the quarter mile in around 10 seconds.
The FIA European Drag Racing Championships is the fastest and loudest motorsport on Earth, leaving others in a sonic boom dust cloud – and the white-knuckle ride does not stop there, oh no! Enter the world of twisted metal, shocking impacts and the most jaw-dropping action from the Monster Trucks as ‘Podzilla’ and ‘Swamp Thing’ battle it out; the breathtaking stunts with former World Champion Zoltan Angyal and the ultimate thrill ride; the 7 second Santa Pod 2 Seater Dragster will be running and you could feel its full force.
Santa Pod is sure to be a firm family favourite with full FREE camping facilities and under 16s don’t have to pay a thing to get in for all the fun! There is kids entertainment with side shows, trade stalls, a fun fair, full catering & bar facilities throughout the weekend, with evening entertainment in the Fuelers Bar from rock bands ‘Spillage’ and ‘Big Day’.
