When the local woman of a small isolated town start turning up dead, it worries everyone. The town feels it is falling victim to something horrid, something historic. The town was overrun in the second world war and the Nazi soldiers grew close to some of the local women. However the town responded organised resistance and attacked the Nazi’s, killing them off. They were then unceremoniously dumped into the local lake and left to rot while the populace partied! The guilty secret however looks set to come back and haunt (or at least hunt) the town and all that are unlucky enough to be either female and sexy.
So it wouldn’t be right of me to tell you to expect either quality horror schlock or cerebral horror fair. This is comedic crap of the watch it at home and laugh your socks off variety. The French audio version I was allowed to see is awfully acted and directed. With scenes ending abruptly and others having the cast unsure what to do or why. You have a weakly developed storyline, a hash of Nazi era guilt and the past coming back to haunt you. You have comic effects that are so badly executed that they seem child like. It is a great laugh but an AWFUL film…
The disc was unavailable so I have no idea of extras or if the dubbed delight of the Euro / English version is coming to you. It is a funny, awful film that could make an evening roll with laughter.
