Made in the USA Review

The second selection of short films that I was invited to view on Sunday at the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival was the sapphic themed 'Made in the USA' which was a very different viewing experience to 'Expectations' that I had, had earlier in the day.

It's not too often that I actually sit down to watch a selection of short films, but during my week at the BFI's London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, I was given the opportunity to view two sets of short films with a large variety of characters, locations and situations.

Becoming Chaz Review

As an audience member in 'Becoming Chaz', I spend a lot of time during the film wondering when the film was going to begin and when the advertisement for transition was going to end. 'Becoming Chaz' follows a year in the life of Chastity (now Chaz) Bono, the daughter of Cher and Sonny as she goes through surgery to remove her breasts and major life style changes to transition to Chaz.
