The misunderstandings of so many misunderstandings! This movie involves so many characters, each with their own story in life that coincides with each other in a comically ingenious way.

Two friends (Akshay Kumar & Sunil Shetty) wanting to get rich quick to marry their lovers (Katrina Kaif & Sameera Reddy). The fathers of the girls try to get them married rich to earn money through dowry to cover their own debts. This leads to the introduction to the rest of the comic characters to get involved in the complex and brilliant storyline full of twists, turns, and surprises that will leave you in stitches.

Although the trailers show Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty as the main characters I would say that there is no one main, but if I had to pick one I would go with the magnificent Paresh Rawal, playing the father of Chunky Pandey, whom was supposed to get married to Katrina Kaif but then switches to Sameera Reddy. Every character somehow links back to him, and he is brilliant as usual. Sunil Shetty seems to be slightly out of character although he does a good enough job. My best comedy award goes to the one and only Johnny Lever, he plays a hitman, and damn, what a funny hitman he is! There is one scene after the interval that had everyone in the screen crying of laughter for a good 10 minutes, and that’s the scene most people will remember.  Asrani plays an underworld don named “Mamu”, if you want a dead body, you know who to call! There are so many other characters to mention but I will give a final mention to Rajpal Yadav, people just look at him and laugh, what a legend!

Although most critics haven’t taken to it I’m going to go opposite. If you liked Hungama, Hera Pheri, and the cinematography of Welcome (it pretty much ends like it), you will love De Dana Dhan, it’s those three movies in one! Go and watch, you will enjoy a good laugh home!
