Gaming: Nintendo and Bandai Namco

In our HYPER Game & Anime Park, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a jam packed, hands-on experience courtesy of Nintendo, with an exciting array of Wii U and Nintendo 3DS titles. Splatoon, Super Mario Maker and Star Fox Zero will be available on Wii U, as well as Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes on Nintendo 3DS, plus many more besides. Visitors to the Nintendo stand will also be able to delve into a special 30th Anniversary section dedicated entirely to Super Mario, and a special themed area that will showcase some of Nintendo’s most iconic games.

Additionally, the Super Smash Bros. Cosplay Competition will see Super Smash Bros. players dressing up as chosen characters in a bid to be awarded Best Costume. Nintendo will also hold amiibo team-up tournaments throughout the show that will see players fighting for glory alongside their amiibo against other trained, level 50 amiibo players and amiibo teams. Nintendo will be offering an exclusive range of merchandise at the event, which is normally only available on the Nintendo Official UK Store.

Bandai Namco will be bringing along an action-packed selection of PlayStation and Xbox titles to their area of the HYPER Game & Anime Park! Visitors to the Bandai Namco booth will be able to defend or destroy cities in as they try out Godzilla, choosing from a cast of familiar characters such as Godzilla, MechaGodzilla, King Ghidorah, Mothra, Hollywood Godzilla, and many, many more! The 20th anniversary of the Tales of franchise is marked by Tales of Zestiria, promising an epic adventure as players take on the role of Sorey, a kind-hearted adventurer, to try and save the world. Coming to the UK for the first time, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4’s multiplayer demo and Sword Art Online: Lost Song will be available for players to test out.

Additionally, One Piece Pirate Warrior 3 will also be on offer for fans of Monkey D. Luffy who want to once again jump into the world of adventurous, treasure-hunting pirates! As if all this wasn’t enough to get your heart pounding, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, J-Stars Victory Vs+, and Saint Seiya: Soldier’s Soul will also be on display for fans.

Cosplay: COSParade, Photo Booth, Cosplayer Tables and Special Guests!

This year’s event will cater to fans of cosplay (the act of dressing up as a character from anime, gaming or film) to a larger extent than ever before! We will of course play host to another installment of our beloved COSParade, which has always given cosplayers the opportunity to showcase their extraordinary outfits onstage. A new Photo Booth area will also be available, featuring a changeable green screen backdrop that will allow cosplayers to take perfect photographs in front of an array of spectacular backgrounds. Cosplayer Tables will allow newcomers to this scene to interact with veteran cosplayers, and gain some hints and tips about the various complex steps involved in creating an elaborate cosplay outfit from scratch. Finally, a selection of experienced cosplay guests will be running workshops throughout the event, as well as selling a choice selection of their handmade goods.
