Film 4 presents… FRIGHTFEST 2009


Now in its 10th year, the annual FrightFest is going strong. This year its bigger than ever. This year its moving to The Empire Cinema – one of the largest in the UK. Due to popular demand, FrightFest events have also sprung up in Cambridge, Glasgow and Brighton. There is also a fantastic all-nighter at the ICA on Halloween.

There are plans now for nation-wide events, a DVD label and online content services. FILM4 have returned again to sponsor the festival for a third year running.

Over 85% of the films shown at FrightFest over the years have been World, European or UK premieres. These have included Scary Movie (1 & 2), Donnie Darko, Dark Water, Insomnia, One Hour Photo, My Little Eye, Battle Royale, Jeerers Creepers, Brotherhood of the Wolf, The Devil’s Backbone, Texas Chainsaw Masacre 2, Cabin Fever, House of 1000 Corpses, Old Boy, Land of the Dead, 2001 Maniacs, Night Watch, Seed, Eden Lake and Wolf Creek.

So you can guarantee that this years fesival there will be some real gems waiting to be discovered.
