Holmes does Horror and closes L.A Film Festival

Tom Cruise’s lady Katie Holmes was spotted at Regal Cinemas for the premiere of her latest horror flick Dont Be Afraid of the Dark, which marked the closing of the 2011 L.A Film Festival.

The 32-year-old actress plays the lead role in this Miramax Films remake of a 1973 ABC made-for-tv movie. She told America’s E! News: “What I loved about these characters is that there’s alot that their going through that doesn’t involve the scares of the movie, but real emotional tension.”

The film is directed by comic book artist Troy Nixey and stars another rising young starlet, Just Go With It’s Bailee Madison. Katie gushed about her 11-year-old co-star saying: “She’s so lovely and talented.”

If you’re excited to see Holmes do Horror, you can catch Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark when it hits theatres on August 26.
